Who should attend this conference?
The annual conference of COGNA is open to anyone with an interest in any aspect of geographic names. In attendance at the conference are representatives, deputies, members and staff of the State Geographic Names Authorities, the U.S. Board on Geographic Names, other state and federal agencies; advisory groups; academia; and representatives from federal or state/province agencies of other countries.
Why should you attend this conference?
The COGNA conferences are the only avenue where the state and federal geographic names authorities can meet to share information on place naming principles, policies, procedures, and other aspects of toponymic issues. There is no better place to develop a network of people working on geographic names than at the conference. How do you register?
1. If you did not receive the Registration Form by E-mail, simply contact Wayne Furr (twfurr@cogna50usa.org) and request the form.
2. When you receive the form simply fill in the blanks and boxes that pertain to your registration. The form is a “fillable one that can be filled out on your computer. The registration fees and optional event fees will be automatically calculated for you.
3. When finished if you are paying by credit card E-mail the form to Wayne Furr at twfurr@cogna50usa.org. If someone else is paying by credit card for you, please include their name and E-mail address.
4. An Invoice will be sent to you or the person paying through Pay Pal to pay with any of the major credit cards listed on the invoice: you don’t need a Pay Pal account.
